National Unity Day (Meri mati and mera desh)

The Government of India celebrated the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel on 31st October as the National Unity Day (Rastriya Ekta Diwas). Sardar Patel, the Independence movement stalwart credited with uniting all 562 princely states of the pre-independent country to form the Republic of India. The NSS unit AITS Kadapa conducted National Unity Day on October 31st. As part of this, we organized essay writing and elocution competitions for the students and distributed prizes to the winners. A rally was also organized in Kadapa town from Yarramukka palli circle to Mahaveer circle to create awareness on Unity of India among the people. NSS Coordinator Dr T. Sankar Reddy, faculty members, NSS volunteers and students are participated in this rally. The programme ended with great enthusiasm with the students promising to work towards the unity of the country.

Pledge Ceremony

The throng of activities started with a pledge taking ceremony that embarked the spirit of unity among the fellow students. The following pledge had been taken by the students:

“I solemnly pledge that I dedicate myself to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the Nation and also strive hard to spread this message among my fellow countrymen. I take this pledge in the spirit of unification of my country which was made possible by the vision and actions of late Sardar Vallabhai Patel. I also solemnly resolve to make my own contribution to ensure internal security of my country”.

Annamacharya Educational Trust was founded in the year 1997 by C.Gangi Reddy that offers quality-driven education to the rural youth. The rural area is affluent in talent, but for the dearth of educational facilities. This talent has to be channelized for the prosperity for the society and growth of the country in large.
