A ‘Plastic Awareness Programme’ was organized by the NSS cell of Annamacharya Institute of Technology & Science, Hyderabad in collaboration with Hyderabad-based doorstep scrap pickup service provider crapbin on 2nd November 2019. Students and faculties of the college visited a nearby village named Batasingaram and held a rally on the theme. The volunteers collected waste plastic from various places of the village and made the villagers aware of the correct disposal of plastic wastage. Mr Zuber Qureshi, Founder of crapbin joined the programme as the Chief Guest. College Principal Dr PV Krishna Murthy and NSS Programme Coordinator Dr Kolli Sunder Kumar also participated in the drive.

Annamacharya Educational Trust was founded in the year 1997 by C.Gangi Reddy that offers quality-driven education to the rural youth. The rural area is affluent in talent, but for the dearth of educational facilities. This talent has to be channelized for the prosperity for the society and growth of the country in large.
